Aghdash City
The area of Aghdash Region locates in the northwestern part of Shirvan plain. One of the main lines of the country – Tbilisi railway passes through this region. Upper Shirvan and Main Shirvan Canals pass through Aghdash region. Main part of Turyanchay preserve is located between Alinja and Turyan Rivers.
There are valuable drought-resistant tree species, as well Eldar pine tree forests in this reserve. The Caravansera belonging to 18th century and Surkhay Castle belonging to 18th century, located in between Arab and Kukal villages in 30 km distance from the centre of the region are cited as an example from historical monuments.
