The composition of Azerbaijan's national weightlifting team for the upcoming licensed 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in the capital of Thailand, Bangkok, was announced.
According to the Azerbaijani Weightlifting Federation (AWF), 538 weightlifters from about 100 countries will compete in the championship (179 women and 359 men).
Sabina Azimova (48 kg), Ismail Mammadov, Elmeddin Huseynov (each 56 kg), Elvin Abdullayev (62 kg), Fugan Aliyev (69 kg), Tarmenkhan Babayev (77 kg) , Mail Shukurlu (85 kg), Umidvar Bayramli (94 kg) and Hasanbey Hasanzade (+94 kg) will take part in championship which will last a week.
Notably, 2018 Summer Youth Olympic Games will be held in the capital of Argentina, Buenos Aires.
The results of the world championship organized in Bangkok will form rating points of the athletes for license.
