EOC: "II European Games not planned to be held in Russia"

"There is no agreement on holding II European Games in Russia."
European Olympic Committee (EOC) General Secretary Raffaele Pagnozzi said in a statement to Interfax.
He said that the decision on a venue of the next games will be made in the coming weeks: "There were certain understandings with Russia before 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. But now a new decision should be reached on this issue. The most important decisions will be made in Minsk, capital of Belarus at General Assembly of the EOC.In my opinion, the final decision will be given within a few weeks."
Notably, the First European Games was held in Baku on June 12-28, 2015.
The 45th General Assembly of the European Olympic Committees will be held on October 20-22 with participation of representatives from 50 countries of the continent.
