President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has called his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.
The head of state congratulated Vladimir Putin on his birthday, wished him sound health and success in activity.
Ilham Aliyev also congratulated the Russian president on victory of the United Russian Party in parliamentary elections.
During the telephone conversation the heads of states expressed satisfaction with the development of relations between Azerbaijan and Russia and expressed confidence about the continuation of successful cooperation.
