Ticket sales from Russia to Azerbaijan have increased by 90%.
It was reported in the study of the world's travel search engine Skyscanner.
The study interviewed 260 thousand resource among Russian travelers, as well as analyzed the ticket booking through its website.
According to the resource, more than half of the bookings (52%) are in Russian resorts. In general, at the end of the summer season in Russia will rest 60% of the total number of Russian travelers versus 50% a year earlier, predicts Skyscanner.
According to the study, in addition to the internal areas, the Russians are increasingly choosing to have a rest in the near abroad. For example, compared to last year more than doubled increased sales of tickets to Georgia, 90% to Azerbaijan, 31% to Bulgaria, 20% to Kazakhstan, 16% to Armenia.
The most popular foreign areas for Russians to spend summer holiday are Spain and Italy, says Skyscanner.
