Leyla Aliyeva visits MGIMO

Chairman of the Azerbaijan Club Javid Huseynov spoke about the activities of the community.
Vice-President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation Leyla Aliyeva visited Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO. Leyla Aliyeva is the president of the MGIMO Alumni Association in Azerbaijan.
At a meeting with the rector of the University Anatoly Torkunov and with high school students the sides touched upon the issues of cooperation between MGIMO, Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the Azerbaijani Youth Association of Russia (AMOR). They also discussed the organization of regular meetings of high school graduates in Baku.
Leyla Aliyeva gladly talked with students and teachers from Azerbaijan and noted the importance of organizing such meetings and maintaining contacts among fellow countrymen.
Presenting the honorary guest, pro-rector of Moscow State Institute for General Affairs Artem Malgin noted that Leyla Aliyeva is known and loved not only by the Azerbaijani students, but also all those students and graduates who were warmly welcomed at the Baku Forum of Graduates.

Junior Research Fellow, Center for Post-Soviet Studies Elnur Mehdiyev shareв his experience in the development of Azerbaijani-Russian relations. Deputy Dean of the Faculty of International Journalism Nigar Masumova spoke about the possibility of cooperation with the Azerbaijani Youth Association in Russia and proposed to continue the tradition of organizing trips to Azerbaijan for students of the Faculty of International Journalism.
MGIMO closely cooperates with the Heydar Aliyev Foundation. At the initiative of President Ilham Aliyev in 2013, Baku hosted the first World Forum of University Graduates gathering more than 400 graduates from 30 countries.
