Teacher from Sheki awarded the Order of Academic Palms

Tahira Jabbarova, french teacher and director of Sheki school №1 named after Bakhtiyar Vahabzadeh, for the first time in Azerbaijan awarded the Order of Academic Palms.

The highest award for achievements in the field of education was presented by the French Ambassador to Azerbaijan Aurelia Bouchez.

Order of Academic Palms originates from the Order (as an organization), established on March 19, 1808 by Emperor Napoleon I to academics and professors of the University of Paris and several high schools.

Aurelia Bouchez emphasized that Tahira Jabbarova may be included into the "Red Book" of the French State as the first teacher of the French language from Sheki who was awarded with such Order.

"I came here not only because of the Order. I took part in the

"TURKSOY" event and I will meet with the family of National Hero France Ahmediyya Jabrailov, as well as with the head of the executive power, with whom we will discuss the economic and tourist opportunities of the city," Aurelia Bouchez said.
