The Baku International Book Fair, held every two years, is considered one of the major cultural events of our country and the capital city.
According Oxu.Az, the 4th Baku International Book Exhibition, organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, was held on September 16-18. The exhibition presented about 30 international and 100 national publishers, bookstores, printing facilities and other structures.
The fair was attended by printing and publishing, as well as other relevant structures from Turkey, Russia, Egypt, Iran, Uzbekistan, Nigeria, Germany, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Albania, Slovakia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Greece and Estonia.
The exhibition, which lasted for three days, has been visited by about 4,000 people daily.
The exhibition was also attended by the world-famous scientific-popular magazine "National Geographic Azərbaycan" and its version for young readers - "National Geographic Kids Azərbaycan", both were published in Azerbaijani language for the first time.
The magazine representatives demonstrated issues published to date and invited the readers to take advantage of a 50% discount. The stand of the "National Geographic Azərbaycan" magazine aroused great interest and attracted the attention of many readers.
