Azerbaijan and Turkey will jointly produce freight cars for the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars (BTK) railway, Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Mehmet Cahit Turhan said.
"Turkey and Azerbaijan will create in Azerbaijan a plant for the production of freight cars for the BTK railway," the minister told reporters after a meeting with chairman of CJSC Azerbaijan Railways Javid Gurbanov.
"Work on the project is almost complete. Cars will be produced immediately after the establishment of the plants," said Turhan.
Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway started transportation in 2017.
