The 15th Congress of Azerbaijani Teachers has started at the Baku Congress Center.
The event is attended by Deputy Prime Minister Ali Ahmadov, Deputy Chairman of the Milli Majlis Bahar Muradova, Education Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the State Examination Center Maleyka Abbaszade, Minister of Education of Nakhchivan Rahman Mammadov, state and government representatives, MPs, well-known intellectuals and media chiefs.
Representatives from about 1400 general education, secondary vocational and vocational education institutions and more than 200 university representatives take part in congress.
Issues related to the implementation of the "State Strategy for the Development of Education in the Republic of Azerbaijan" and implementation of the main targets are discussed at the event. At the same time, panel discussions are held on general education.
The state awards will be presented to more than 100 educators conferred with the honorary title "Honored teacher" and "Medal of Progress" by decrees of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
