"Besides achieving rapid economic development Azerbaijan is also consistently taking steps in the humanitarian sphere. Azerbaijan attaches great importance to the maintenance and protection of human rights," Deputy Chairman of the Azerbaijani Milli Majlis, chairman of the Parliament's Committee on Human Rights Bahar Muradova said.
She spoke at the meeting with President of the Asian Ombudsmen Association, Pakistani Federal Ombudsman Syed Tahir Shahbaz.
Muradova spoke about the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict that was the result of Armenia's aggressive policy.
Bahar Muradova expressed her gratitude for the fair position of Pakistan on the settlement of the conflict.
Syed Tahir Shahbaz, expressing his gratitude to Azerbaijan for the high level organization of the 21st session of the Board of Directors of the Asian Ombudsmen Association, emphasized the importance of such events. He said that Pakistan supports Azerbaijan in all issues. Azerbaijan also demonstrates the same attitude to Pakistan.
