BP and CAERC launch new project

BP and Center for Analysis of Economic Reforms and Communication (CAERC) today launched “Modernizing monitoring and evaluation e- infrastructure of CAERC” project, Report informs.

The project intends to support the modernization of monitoring and evaluation e-infrastructure of CAERC through development of a sophisticated software. The new software will be utilized for monitoring and evaluation of the measures undertaken by the government within the framework of the Strategic Road Maps for social and economic development of Azerbaijan. It will support CAERC in effectively processing the economic data which it receives frequently from 47 public bodies, including Ministries, Agencies and Committees.

The launch of the project follows the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between BP and CAERC on 15 October. The memorandum sets out the framework for BP and CAERC to review and implement projects that would be in line with the commitments of both parties to supporting sustainable development in various economic spheres of Azerbaijan.

Speaking about the importance of the signing of the MoU and the project, CAERC executive director Vusal Gasimli said, “The key objective of this cooperation is to contribute to President Ilham Aliyev’s idea of ‘transforming black gold into human capital’. As our country’s long-standing partner, BP is making its contribution not only to the implementation of the oil strategy, but also to the post-oil era building. We highly value BP’s cooperation with CAERC in the areas of organizational development, innovative approach and application of international experience.”

The total cost of the newly launched project is 204,000 AZN and the duration is six months.
