Azerbaijan and Iran sign six memos of cooperation

Azerbaijan and Iran have signed six memorandums of understanding for $4 million in the field of expanding technological cooperation between the companies of the two countries.

Report informs citing the Iranian media that the memos of understanding have to do with nano-technology flooring, electronics and food flavoring.

Head of the National Innovation Fund of Iran, Ali Vahdat called the signing of six memos of understanding between Iranian knowledge-based companies and their Azerbaijani colleagues 'an important event'.

"This is just the beginning. I hope this tendency will be preserved," he said.

The Azerbaijani side expressed the country's readiness to expand cooperation with Iranian startups, which currently reach 4,700 in number.
