The Azerbaijani-Australian business forum has today started in Baku.
Head of the Azerbaijan Export and Investment Promotion Foundation (AZPROMO), Rufat Mammadov opened the event.
He said that 12 companies with Australian capital have been registered in Azerbaijan: "These companies are operating in the oil and gas sector of Azerbaijan. At present trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Australia is weak. We will try to discuss this issue in the forum".
Speaking at the business forum, Australian delegation member Jon Hammond said that the country is represented by 27 people in the event.
